INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS CENTER AGENT

The South Bend International Airport is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Information and Communications Center Agent. This position provides a customer service function for all airport divisions including monitoring airport security systems; disseminating information to the public, employees and airline personnel; and dispatching Safety Officers as needed. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 6-12 months customer service experience requiring public contact. Candidates must also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and be able to use multi-line telephone systems and general office equipment. The position is regularly scheduled for 25 hours per week, with additional hours required on occasion, and will involve shift work, weekends and holidays. The starting pay rate is $10.00 per hour. The ability to pass criminal history and up to 10-year employment and background checks is required. Submit resume and cover letter to [email protected]

SAFETY OFFICER

The South Bend International Airport is accepting resumes and will be conducting testing for consideration in filling potential openings for the position of Safety Officer in our Department of Public Safety. The Department provides law enforcement, fire protection, and EMS services at the airport. Applicants must pass a written examination and physical ability test, as well as oral interviews, a background check, psychological interviews, physical examination and drug screen. The selected candidate must have the ability to successfully complete, or have completed the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy program. The selected candidate must also hold or have the ability to earn Firefighter I/II and EMT certification. For those candidates not already a police officer and who will need to attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy must also meet the fitness entry standards of the Academy. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 21, hold a valid driver’s license, and have no felony record. Experience in firefighting, police, medical, public safety, or airport safety is preferred but not required. Candidates should have experience with Microsoft Office products.
