INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS CENTER AGENT

The South Bend International Airport is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Information and Communications Center Agent. This position provides a customer service function for all airport divisions including monitoring airport security systems; disseminating information to the public, employees and airline personnel; and dispatching Safety Officers as needed. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 6-12 months customer service experience requiring public contact. Candidates must also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and be able to use multi-line telephone systems and general office equipment. The position is regularly scheduled for 25 hours per week, with additional hours required on occasion, and will involve shift work, weekends and holidays. The starting pay rate is $10.00 per hour. SAFETY OFFICER

The South Bend International Airport is accepting resumes and will be conducting testing for the position of Safety Officer in our Department of Public Safety. The Department provides law enforcement, fire protection, and EMS services at the airport. Applicants must pass a physical ability test, as well as oral interviews, a background check, psychological interviews, physical examination and drug screen. Applicants not already certified as a law enforcement officer will also be required to pass a written examination.

The selected candidate must have the ability to successfully complete, or have completed the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy program. The selected candidate must also hold or have the ability to earn Firefighter I/II and EMT certification. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license, and have no felony record.

Candidates already certified as an Indiana Law Enforcement officer, or Firefighter I/II and EMT highly preferred. Candidates should have experience with Microsoft Office products. A cover letter and resume in PDF format must be received no later than March 07, 2019 via email at [email protected]
