The South Bend International Airport is accepting resumes and will be conducting testing for the position of Safety Officer in our Department of Public Safety. The Department provides law enforcement, fire protection, and EMS services at the airport. Applicants must pass a physical ability test, as well as oral interviews, a background check, psychological interviews, physical examination and drug screen. Applicants not already certified as a law enforcement officer may be required to pass a written examination.
The selected candidate must have the ability to successfully complete, or have completed the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy program. The selected candidate must also hold or have the ability to earn Firefighter I/II and EMT certification. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license, and have no felony record.

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS CENTER AGENT - PART TIME
St. Joseph County Airport Authority (SJCAA) in South Bend, IN is seeking an enthusiastic, forward thinking individual for the position of, Information and Communications Center Agent (CCA). This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Airport Authority’s mission, vision and values.
This position promotes the safety and security of airport users by monitoring scanner radios for Airport, Mutual Aid and FAA frequencies. Acts as liaison among parties operating on different frequencies and will dispatch appropriate personnel to events on airport property when necessary. The position also monitors closed-circuit television screens for surveillance and safety purposes on an ongoing basis. In addition, position processes applications for airport-issued identification badges, creates the badges, maintains accurate records and ensures the compliance of those records. A CCA provides information and communicates with all departments and tenants at SBN and is ultimately known as a, Dedicated Customer Care Specialist for the traveling public!
High School diploma or equivalent. Specialized training in computer software helpful. Degree in Aviation Management, Criminal Justice, or Aviation Management helpful. Six months to one year customer service experience requiring public contact, answering multi-line telephone equipment, two-way radio and use of general office equipment such as computers, fax machine and copier. Experience in a communications center or a security background is preferred. Maintain valid Driver’s License

St. Joseph County Airport Authority (SJCAA) is seeking an enthusiastic, forward thinking individual for the position of Operations Specialist.
This position is responsible for supporting the Airport Authority’s mission, vision and values. Position promotes the safety and security of airport users by ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Transportation Security Regulations as well as all other applicable statutes, regulations and requirements. Duties include monitoring all airside and landside activity, responding to emergent and non-emergent operational issues, airfield condition reporting, and acting as liaison amongst airport management, tenants and the public. All employees are expected to be part of our customer service team as Dedicated Customer Care Specialists.
A Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of two years of work experience at a commercial airport. Ability to pass a 10-year background and Criminal History Records Check required. Valid Driver’s License Required.
Weekends, holidays and shift work required. Starting wage is $17.50 per hour.
MARKETING & COMMUNITY RELATIONS INTERN
SBN seeks a marketing and community relations intern available to work 20-25 hours a week for summer semester. Interested applicants must be able to fulfill the bulk of their hours Monday – Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Hours needed to be worked for special events outside of normal work hours will be incorporated into the weekly hourly commitment.
