We are thrilled to welcome the community back to the airfield for our 6th Annual Aviation Education Day presented by Corporate Wings! This free event will take place on Saturday, August 17 from 9:00am – 1:00pm at the Studebaker Hangar (4817 Lincoln Way West). Those young and young at heart will have a chance to explore the fascinating world of aviation and enjoy countless fun activities while doing so.
Aircraft displays, airfield tours, drone demonstrations, Young Eagles introductory flights*, games, arts & crafts, food trucks**, a career/job expo, and much more including a chance to win two $250 Allegiant travel vouchers all await you at Aviation Education Day. Boy and Girl Scouts from all councils can also take part in activities throughout the day to earn their Aviation Merit Badge. Scouts should arrive at 9:00am and will have a separate entrance from the general public. They must be accompanied by a troop leader or parent/guardian.
If you are interested in learning about the aviation industry, are an air travel enthusiast excited for a chance to see behind the scenes at SBN, or if you fall somewhere in the middle, this event is perfect for you. It is open to the public for people of all ages, and parking will be validated.
